Let me remind you that talk was towards a version of Sunny that was much weaker than Neph and was insecure about it, which Effie could tell. This Sunny also refused to send out his shadows to farm shadow shards. Also avoided all forms of danger he thought would be hard to overcome and would have probably died in the red corals without Neph's leadership. He was inferior to Neph in the most important way, which is conviction. Without Effie pointing that out, he'd had just kept on being weaker. Granted, he never gained conviction but he lost fear which combines well with his great willpower. He started doing all those things and quite quickly became stronger than Neph. If it wasn't for Effie he prolly would've avoided Antarctica like the plague or join it after the hardest part was over. But anyway willpower≠strength and you should be thanking Effie instead of trash talking her.

Peak characters, peak plotline, peak lore, peak everything. This novel is just walking peak fiction, better than either One Piece and Pokemon. Tho you'll need a bit of reading comprehension skills or you'll end up thinking the best part of this novel is the lore and world building alone.

Eh the characters are alright you should be mainly reading this for the world/lore which is peak.
