    Is there any training arc here? The protagonist just straight up getting powers at random chapters with almost no sense or any explanation at all so I was wondering if there was any kind of plot development where his progress is shown

      Is it like eminence in the shadow,where we get mentions of protagonist's training or is it just a skip to op, with no mention of training? Edit: I've read the first chapter. It is exactly like eminence in the shadows, with the MC training for an imaginary ideal, then reincarnated into a magic world and immediately figuring things out.

        Alright, not quite EIS level, but not that far, either, and it IS very similar MC is much more moderate than Cid, and although he tries to live to be a demon king, he isn't really the right material, he only kills evil and people barely know of him, he's trying to make a hero but has no success, and people like him too much for his plans already as of ch50

    What I liked about Eminence in shadow was that Cid was an unhinged mf. This man ain't it. He isn't goody two shoes or a yes man but he lacks the enjoyability that Cid gives. If you have read Eminence in shadow, you just can't help but to compare. But if you havent, then it is quite enjoyable (if you don't think too deeply about it).

        I would rate 8 beacause there a lot of heroines MC doesn’t interest anyone. So it’s -2 for me. But you can enjoy smart and op MC not typical dumb Japanese MC so I will rate 8 for this part. 😁

        Bro what are you on about, this mc is literally a stereotypical d*mb*ss japanese loser, a Walmart version of Eminence in Shadow. And thats without even mentioning the translation, sh*ts worse despite having someone thats supposedly fine tuning after mtl; theres pure mtl versions out there that make wayyy more sense than this cr*p.
