I lasted 1191 chapters and couldnt take it any more. Classic villains and useles allies and i mean completely useles the plot feels 100% forced most and i mean 99% side characters suck incliding fmls. Power system sucks and the author can say one thing first chapter and the complete opposite im the second one. Overall its chinese novel, you habe to turn your brain off and read. I lasted only this much
Overall: 4.2-4.3/5 the overall novel is good only issues are with the ending and plotholes (it might be because the translations were wrong and it's not plotholes, but I don't know). other than that, the novel is an entertaining read if you are looking to read something for a while, it has comedy, epic fights, and okay-ish romance (it is harem and I don't agree with a couple of choices, IMO). I would highly recommend it for people looking for a good cultivation novel.
Guys is this finished? I usually don't read Chinese novels, but the Manhua was pretty decent, so I thought I would give it a try now that it has been discontinued. If anyone knows, can you let me know what chapter the manhua left off on? Also, is this translated or MTL? I don't want to have a headache every time I read a sentence.
The ending is meh, if it really is the ending considering it just feels so unfinished, but the novel itself is a very good read despite it's ups and downs. The MC is entertaining and you won't ever get bored of him - he's very shameless in funny way, the side cast is extremely solid, memorable and they stick around until the very end not to mention each of them has their very own plot and character arc going on seperate from Mo Fan. Although just like any other Chinese novel - asspulls, convenient plot points and faceslapping is also part of the package. The translation goes bad at certain points and the author also has a tendency to forgot what he wrote. Romance is there too, if you're looking for that. Power system is good but unfortunately by the time we get to the end it has become very 'abstract' thanks to powercreep and there is basically no sense, rythm or rule in what a character can or cannot do with their abilities - so it kinda becomes hard to keep track of it IMO.
This is an average novel, not good nor bad. Has harem, the author describes all girls in a very detailed way even saying sizes of things, mc has an op ability, mc is pretty dumb and there are a lot of plotholes (but he always has plans he could never make) , enemies always underestimate the mc. You know, your typical chinese novel with the cliche phrases, but it does have an interesting cultivation system and that's all I guess, some people say the story is good but I dropped it at 480 so I cant say much but its your typical "theres another level higher" everytime and for the first 480 chapters it was 90% fighting enemies due to the plot so he's the kind of mc that never "has time" to train so enemies have a chance. Im just posting this because I see everyone liking this which actually surprises me lol, but this is due to nostalgia of being the first novel of a lot of people but being honest this is a 3/5. Pretty good for a cliche chinese cultivation novel. (It gets good at chap 9999)
Sadly stopped at 2890... Ending few chapters story writing imo wasn't able to hook me as much for some reason. everything else up to that point is AMAZING and I highly reccomend. Don't listen to the hate comments. unless your one of those high critics who like dissing everything they read and can't read a novel for it's beauty, read this. Great read. won't regret :) biggest mo fan fangirl right here
Does anyone know when mo fan dies for the first time and he awakens the Phoenix flame in mount Fuji after being chased by some ruler monster
does anyone know if this author will be writing a sequel to this novel (this might already be unlikely i haven't finished it so idk how it ends) or at least writing another novel?
One of my OG starter pack Chinese novel. (Versatile Mage, Legendary mechanic, Super gene)
I'm very turned off by this novel just by the pure chapter count, not that i dont enjoy long stories (in fact i prefer very long novels) it's just that i dont want it to be like other very long stories like this that go to sh*t after 1000 or so chapters and you end up regretting reading it in the first place. but, hopefully this will be different and wont completely abandon the original plot or characters after a couple hundred chapters.
