Summary

What happens when a scientist from a futuristic world reincarnates in a World of Magic and Knights? An awesome MC is what happens! A scientist’s goal is to explore the secrets of the universe, and this is exactly what Leylin sets out to do when he is reincarnated. Dark, cold and calculating, he makes use of all his resources as he sets off on his adventures to meet his goal. Face? Who needs that… Hmmm… that guy seems too powerful for me to take on now… I better keep a low profile for now. You want me to help you? Sure… but what benefit can I get out of it? Nothing? Bye. Hmmm… that guy looks like he might cause me problems in the future. Should I let him off for now and let him grow into someone that can threaten me….. Nahhh. *kill*-

Alternative: Leylin is transported from an advanced technological era into a medieval world— except there’s magic. Equipped with “only” his quick wits and an A.I. chip fused to his soul, he sets out to become the most powerful magus the world has ever known. In a land divided into the Light and Dark Magi, the weak can either be cattle or disposable slaves. Only the strong can determine their lives, and only they have the luxury for virtue. Yet strength is only a tool for Leylin, like any other. His goal, in the end, is his own.

Very good, it was one of my first, probably the second, after Hail The King Honestly, I skipped dozens of chapters, I think between 600 and 700, when Leylin reaches rank 7 and goes to an underground city in the Rotten Magic Continent where he originally studied, There he meets one of the rank 7+ mages who are in seclusion, but I found it EXTREMELY tedious and skipped it. I don't remember much because I read it a few years ago so maybe the information is wrong. Is there anything useful in this part? I'll look for her and see what I missed alone until I get bored.

I'm currently looking for a novel to read. You think this one is good enough?

Yes. But only if you have balls of steel, I consider myself someone who can handle reading a lot of sh*t or things that are simply boring/still/slow burning, but this novel? Jesus, I dropped the beginning 3 times and skipped some chapters, I have literally never skipped chapters/episodes of anything I have consumed in my life. The world is very interesting, with a selfish and considerably insane MC, It's mainly about building bases, preparing terrain, but the novel has its exciting moments

He never sees any known relatives again, in the distant future he meets one of his descendants and discovers that his family is being persecuted because of him since he had killed the son of a rank 3 wizard

Thinking back... It really wasn't bad, although there were some heavy arcs that forced me to pause for a few days, but overall it's fine, I'll tell you in advance, don't expect anything from the world of shadows, it disappointed us all tremendously.

What do you mean world of shadows was one of the best arcs mc gave a middle finger to everyone and got everything for himself.

Can you explain the "heavy arcs" part?

Many info stuff and ... Basically mc is more scientist you know The story is more in that part And sometimes mc is like just "I'm just acting and faking my identity" then it is the story of some other character And specially the start of the last vulome of novel... Man that needed many breaks Overall it is a good read junior Not that peak but really good

How are the schemes compared to ri

      • I_am_Just_a_reader 1

not that deep compared to RI and mc isn't that of a schemer really he is a cold blooded scientist not mastermind that pull the strings behind the scenes if I remember correctly it had some decent scheme but just a few, not that many, and definitely not in the level of RI mc is a cold blooded scientist as I said, so everything is just, mc going to discover this and this, get stronger and beat the sh*t out of his enemies It is a really good read but not in the level of masterpieces like RI, LOTM etc

Not a bad novel imo . Starting was solid . But u do need to skim through chapters to get to good parts after some 500 chapters , now I just come read 50-100 chapters whenever I have nothing to read .

If you want a novel where there is a ruthless protagonist, but at the same time intelligent to hide his thoughts, this is your novel. It is true that it opens heavy arches or small mini arches that are unnecessary, but they are distracting. As a reader of this great novel I tell you, prepare yourselves to see the cruelty of power of, "A Magus"

This novel feels so empty and meaningless. The relationships hardly play a role in this novel. From my point of view, the MC is completely repulsive when it comes to women and moral, especially in the beginning. And the whole time, he wastes time doing things that will hardly have any benefit. Also, none of the wizard continent was utilized, and the fact that the continent wasn't built up with characters just made it boring. It felt like a typical eastern novel with a self-centered MC, and the side characters only appear briefly and disappear meaninglessly. On the other hand, it has good western elements that bring in other characters, but even that is so poorly done.

Aight enough is enough, I'm not continuing this, I'm fairly certain that my brain will completely rot if I keep reading it. This is a 3/10 and it only gets that 3 because the premise is great. Everything else is just trash. The author can't decide if he wants his mc to be a bad guy or not. Bro's okay with slavery, human experimentation, rape etc but no he must return the favor if someone is good to him. And the worst part is every time he does something bad the author tries to explain it is because of benefits etc and the problem is that he does this EVERY D*MN TIME. "oh I'll do this bad thing" bam, five paragraphs on why he does it cause of benefits, next chapter he does another bad thing, bam, five more paragraphs explaining the same thing, bro WE GET IT. The author keeps repeating himself and he does it again and again and again, like I'm trying to read past that I really am but holy **** is this infuriating. It's like reading a dictionary about a fictional story, instead of one
